Traveling across the country during a pandemic

 As you all know, its been a nutso bonkers year. After closing my business due to COVID in March 2020, our daughter being born in June of 2020, then moving to Michigan in October of 2020, we had a bit of change in our lives. 2021 was focused on raising our daughter and restarting the business here in Grand Rapids.

Learning to make creative engagement photos as the world goes crazy 

I spent a ton of time in 2021 trying to reignite my creativity. Playing and caring for the kid combined with rarely picking up my camera for months at a time made me feel like I was betraying my passion for photography. On top of all that I also had to learn how to travel across the country during the pandemic. We traveled across the United States three times in a car to fulfill contracts delayed in 2020. I had boatloads of masks, disinfectant and lotion! It was stressful but also a challenging adventure, which i truly love.

Ready for more

I have loved my Michigan photo family. The couples here are so 100% in to create and collaborate. I have done an awesome smoke bomb engagement session, champagne sprays, and one of the cutest doggo sessions ever. Every single one is more creative and energetic than the next.

2022 is going to be just as much as a roller coaster as 2021. But, each experience, each challenging adventure just adds to who I am and helps me add more tools to my photography tool box. I am ready to collaborate and create more bold, cinematic, and moment driven photos with my Michigan photo family.
