Hey, fellow photographers and enthusiasts! If you're looking for an exciting way to connect with like-minded creatives, get some fresh air, and sharpen your photography skills, we’ve got just the event for you—Scott Kelby’s 2024 Worldwide Photo Walk. And guess what? It’s happening right here in Grand Rapids, led by yours truly, Holladay Photography

What’s the Deal with a Photo Walk?

If you haven’t been on a photo walk before, it’s basically a group of photographers—pros, amateurs, and hobbyists alike—strolling through a city, snapping pics of whatever catches our eye. It’s a relaxed, friendly environment where we all share ideas, tips, and techniques. This year’s walk is all about exploring the *old* and the *new* of downtown Grand Rapids. From historic architecture to modern art installations, we’ll have tons of subjects to play with.

Why You Should Join

1. **It’s FREE!**
There’s no cost to join, but if you’re feeling generous, donations to the Springs of Hope Kenya Orphanage are welcomed.

2. **Perfect for All Skill Levels**
Whether you just got your first camera or you’ve been shooting for years, you’ll fit right in. You can learn something new or just enjoy the chance to practice.

3. **Great Networking**
Connect with other local photographers! I’ve led a photography Meetup group for 8 years, so I know how valuable these kinds of connections can be for your growth as a creative and a professional.

The Grand Rapids Route

Our walk will cover the vibrant streets of downtown GR, starting at 9:00 AM at Rosa Parks Circle and wrapping up by 11:00 AM. We’ll stroll through iconic locations like the Blue Bridge, the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and some hidden gems you might not know about. Whether you’re into street photography, architecture, or even portraiture, there’ll be no shortage of inspiring scenes. And don’t forget, the fall colors will be starting to pop! 🍁🍂

What to Bring

- **Your Camera** (or even just your smartphone—all cameras are welcome!)
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Extra batteries and memory cards
- A positive vibe and a willingness to share and learn!
