Its such a cute love story They met in middle school (7th grade) in Durango Co. They were close friends in high school and ended up going to the same undergraduate program at Fort Lewis College. College is where they started dating and after 10 years they got married in the cutest setting with friends and family smack dab in the middle of a pandemic. This could be the elevator pitch for an upcoming 2021 Rom-Com!

Despite the Pandemic this amazing family came together, safety in mind, and had the most fabulous micro wedding at an Aunts home in Durango, Colorado. The wedding was full of iconic moments and emotion. A truly unique wedding jumper created by an Aunt. An emergency use of a toothbrush to get rid of a bridesmaid's dress stain. Photobombs. Tons of joyous tears. Delicious pies made by friends and family members and Soooo much dancing! 

Irelyn and Evan stressed how much they wanted real and intimate moments. They were super happy with my photojournalistic style of wedding photography. We captured so many little moments within the moments.

With all of my destination weddings I try to plan a cool couples session before or after the wedding. This time I wanted to try and get out in the mountains and capture some astrophotography. Irelyn and Evan were 100% in and agreed to meet me in the middle of nowhere at about 11pm to create some truly amazing wedding couple portraits.

It was such an amazing wedding and I truly hope to return to Durango in the future to capture its beauty once again.
